It's totally Jacked

Personally, I think the show sucks. Fox's Kitchen Confidential is hyperactive, short attention span-driven, and just plain lame. Case in point, last Monday's episode, John Larroquete sort of played an instructor from the real Bourdain's culinary school days. Apparently, this guy was a real tyrant, and known to reduce many a student to tears, absolutely eviscerating any remaining esteem. All we get is a two second glimpse of how much of a prick he is, and then "Jack Bourdain" stumbling and bumbling just to make him happy.

That very episode could have been so much better if the show actually stuck somewhat closer to the book's material. The buildup of this instructor's character and Bourdain's eventual "deflated souffle confrontation" could have made up an entire episode!*

I always thought it should have been made into the proposed movie, which could have portrayed a lot more of the territory the booked covered.

*Read the book!
